Cold Water Storage Tank Inspection

Three Counties Water were instructed by our client to manage their Healthcare Portfolio in North London and Essex to undertake Legionella Control Services for their properties. We carried out the Monthly visits covering around 8 Hospitals and primary care centres. In order to complete statutory water hygiene monitoring, as recommended in ACoP L8 Guidance and HTM04-01 Part B.

The Problem:

As part of our control checks we were to undertake 6 monthly Cold Water Storage Tank Inspection. During this inspection we identified internal hollow tank supports. Hollow supports should also no longer be used:

Post Disinfection Photos – Post disinfection photos including replaced hollow supports.

The Solution:

We undertook a clean and disinfection of the cistern and removed the hollow supports and replaced them with a solid alternative whilst we undertook a clean and disinfection in accordance with BS EN 806/BS 8558:2011
